Weight capacityBuy at least 50 lb above your body weight. Motors and belts run hotter and wear faster near their limit, and most warranties assume you stay under it.
Belt lengthAbout 35 inches is fine for slow walking at a desk. Taller users, or anyone walking above 3 mph, should look for 38 inches or more so their stride isn’t cut short.
InclineEven 5–6% noticeably raises the effort of a slow desk walk. “Auto” incline changes with a button; “manual” usually means a fixed riser or a lever you set before you start.
Handrail vs. flatFlat pads slide under a desk or bed. A fold-up handrail adds stability and a faster top speed, but makes the unit taller and heavier to store.
